Honestly, if you shop, you’ll find that Meijers does not have the cheapest prices. Sure, they may have some good sale items. But your corner store and Krogers can have some descent sale prices. Smart shoppers look for good sales. And the job of stores marketing department is to get consumers into their stores because they know that, since they’re there, they’ll ( shopper ) purchase other items regardless if they are 15 to 18 or more percent higher. So what do we do? a little homework! Avoid buying those overpriced items for those stores that adverising good deals. We as consumers need to go for those good deals and that’s it. What will happen? Price wars? retail competition? Whatever you call it, it comes down to what we want; the best bang for our buck. So the jist of this blog. Meijers didn’t like me going against the spanish signs. If you shop around for the best buck, Walmart overall is cheaper if you ignore sale items. Remember, even Krogers can beat the stiffest competition on certain items.
