Be very careful if the manufacturer or retail uses OURBSP.COM to process your rebate. On the rebate form your instructed to register the product with ourbsp.com as follows:
“Register the product online by visiting: http://www.ourbsp.com/regProduct.php & send its confirmation print out.”
Does it say send in the product registration? No. What you get at the end of the registration is a “Rebate Registration Confirmation”. Two lines down it tells you “Please save/print this page for your rebate purpose”. Oh and “Thank You”.
Where’s the scam; with ourbsp.com? Vox? Ecost?
Well, does ourbsp.com submit for their fee once I submitted the product registration? More than likely. That would have been in early June 2008. In August 2008 I am informed by ourbsp.com that I did not send in the right form and that they do not allow resubmissions. Then why didn’t they pop the correct form to print out?
Is Vox part of the overall scam? Well if the above is true, then I put Vox on notice that I have been denied the rebate that they have already paid ourbsp.com. Anyways, it does not specifically spell out send in product regristration.
Ecost? Haven’t finalized with them yet. As I told them, if I don’t get a resolve, I will be returning the product and dealing with my credit card company. Nobody should have to fight to get the rebate that they are entitled to. I purchased in good faith, I expect to receive the rebate offered!
