Ever been taken unknowingly for a purchase of anti spyware or utility software to find out that the product itself is useless. After having a little run in with the above company, it turns out that I have. fortunately I was able to get a refund for one of the products. They use some clever marketing strategies that lure the uneducated consumer into buying their products. I have to give credit to the below site for all their research. I will personally testify to some of their results to be true.

Be very careful if the manufacturer or retail uses OURBSP.COM to process your rebate. On the rebate form your instructed to register the product with ourbsp.com as follows:
“Register the product online by visiting: http://www.ourbsp.com/regProduct.php & send its confirmation print out.”
Does it say send in the product registration? No. What you get at the end of the registration is a “Rebate Registration Confirmation”. Two lines down it tells you “Please save/print this page for your rebate purpose”. Oh and “Thank You”.
Where’s the scam; with ourbsp.com? Vox? Ecost?
Well, does ourbsp.com submit for their fee once I submitted the product registration? More than likely. That would have been in early June 2008. In August 2008 I am informed by ourbsp.com that I did not send in the right form and that they do not allow resubmissions. Then why didn’t they pop the correct form to print out?
Is Vox part of the overall scam? Well if the above is true, then I put Vox on notice that I have been denied the rebate that they have already paid ourbsp.com. Anyways, it does not specifically spell out send in product regristration.
Ecost? Haven’t finalized with them yet. As I told them, if I don’t get a resolve, I will be returning the product and dealing with my credit card company. Nobody should have to fight to get the rebate that they are entitled to. I purchased in good faith, I expect to receive the rebate offered!
Buying from ecost, beware!
Buying from Vox, beware!

Honestly, if you shop, you’ll find that Meijers does not have the cheapest prices. Sure, they may have some good sale items. But your corner store and Krogers can have some descent sale prices. Smart shoppers look for good sales. And the job of stores marketing department is to get consumers into their stores because they know that, since they’re there, they’ll ( shopper ) purchase other items regardless if they are 15 to 18 or more percent higher. So what do we do? a little homework! Avoid buying those overpriced items for those stores that adverising good deals. We as consumers need to go for those good deals and that’s it. What will happen? Price wars? retail competition? Whatever you call it, it comes down to what we want; the best bang for our buck. So the jist of this blog. Meijers didn’t like me going against the spanish signs. If you shop around for the best buck, Walmart overall is cheaper if you ignore sale items. Remember, even Krogers can beat the stiffest competition on certain items. Just avoid the overall shop experience1
Next. Who the big box Supermarkets support!
